This time though ive gone to input the serial number for Microsoft "Office for Mac 2011" and i get an error saying the activation server can not be reached (I have tried this on multiple occasions over the past couple of weeks, so do not think its a once in a blue moon "server is down" type error).
I phoned Microsoft support who said that because this product "Office for Mac 2011" has been superseded by another product ("Office for Mac 2016") they no longer can offer support (frankly Im not asking for support i just want to activate a product that i rightfully own and their activation server is preventing me from doing so. But thats another storey)
Activate Office 2011 Serial Key
Until, that is, I decided to replace my hard disk. (The one I had was getting full, and I got a good Black Friday deal on one twice as big.) I used Carbon Copy Cloner to transfer the contents of my old disk to the new one and swapped the two without a hitch. But the next time I tried to run Word, it asked me for my product key again. No problem, I figured, and just typed it in. No dice, the program told me -- I'd already used that key the allotted number of times. (I have the Home and Business Edition that permits installation on one, count it "one," computer.) I did some googling and learned that I was hardly the only person with this problem: apparently replacing my hard disk made it appear to the activation gods as though I were trying to run the program on an entirely different computer -- which, of course, my license wouldn't let me do. I did find references to "reassigning" your product key to a new computer, including in the license agreement itself. But I couldn't find anywhere, on the Microsoft support forums or elsewhere, that said how to do that. When an attempt to activate online fails, you get the option to activate by phone. So I tried that. The phone number was answered by a pleasant-sounding recorded woman's voice, which asked me to enter my "installation ID" -- a 54-digit number that's displayed on screen when you click on the Activate by Phone option. After I punched all the numbers in, the voice asked me how many computers I'd installed the software on. "Counting this one the first time?" I asked myself, and told the voice, "One." Apparently that's the wrong answer: it replied, "We can't help you at this time, please call back later, goodbye," and disconnected. No hint as to what the problem was, no suggestion as to when "later" might be, no useful information at all. It did strike me that if the answer to the number of computers was that important, she could have asked *before* I punched in the 54 digits -- but whatever.Next I tried calling customer service, who transferred me to the activation support department. (One positive note: they answered fairly quickly.) There I spoke to Steve, who told me all I had to do was reinstall the software. "Really?" I asked dubiously -- it seemed to me that if the problem was that I'd already used the activation key once, reinstalling the software wasn't going to change that. But Steve said it would definitely work, so I said I'd try it and wrote down my tech support case number. As you can guess, Steve's suggestion didn't work. Thus concludes part I of the great reactivation adventure. Come back for the second round of my attempts to keep using my legally acquired copy of Office for Mac 2011 after a simple computer upgrade, when you'll meet Shelley and Suntosh.
The solution was to look for updates to Office 2011. After the latest update was installed, the key was accepted and my installation was activated. If that doesn't work, you can always activate it by phone.
MS Office 365 Product key is used to activate the licensed version of Office365. It is considered to be one of the best and productive software available nowadays. It includes the full installation of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and more. It started in June 2011 and now has the latest version as MS Office 2019. It lets users do work on laptops and computers without having an internet connection. And in order to be able to enjoy all these features, activation through key is inevitable. The key consists of a set of tools that are old yet have many new features to it.
This clinical study evaluated the effects of light-emitting diode (LED)/laser activation on bleaching effectiveness (BE) and tooth sensitivity (TS) during in-office bleaching. Thirty caries-free patients were divided into two groups: light-activated (LA) and non-activated (NA) groups. A 35% hydrogen peroxide gel (Whiteness HP Maxx, FGM Dental Products, Joinville SC, Brazil) was used in three 15-minute applications for both groups. For the LA group, LED/laser energy (Whitening Lase Light Plus, DMC Odontológica, São Carlos SP, Brazil) was used, in accordance with the manufacturer's directions. Two sessions of bleaching were performed at one-week intervals. Color was registered at baseline and after the first and second bleaching sessions using a Vita shade guide. Patients recorded TS on a 0 to 4 scale during bleaching and within the next 24 and 48 hours of each session. BE at recall each week and intensity of TS were evaluated by repeated measures analysis of variance (ANOVA) and Tukey tests (α=0.05). Tooth sensitivity was compared using the Friedman repeated measures analysis of variance by rank and the Wilcoxon sign-ranked test. Faster bleaching was observed for the LA group than for the NA group after the first session (4.8 and 3.8 shade guide units [SGUs]; p=0.0001). However, both techniques were capable of bleaching the same number of SGUs after the second bleaching session (p=0.52). Most of the LA group (53.3%) had sensitivity even 24 hours after each bleaching session, but only 26.6% from the NA group reported TS. The intensity of TS was similar for both groups immediately after bleaching but significantly higher for the LA group 24 hours after each bleaching session (p=0.001). After two bleaching sessions, the use of LED/laser light activation did not improve bleaching speed. Persistent tooth sensitivity and higher tooth sensitivity after 24 hours of bleaching were observed when light activation was used.
If you purchased Microsoft Office at a store or through an online retailer, you received a product key either on a card or an email download. This key is used to activate the programs through the use of the Office website at www.setup.office.com. When you are transferring an existing program suite from one computer to the next, you log in using the Microsoft account created when the programs were first activated. They remain attached to the Microsoft account if you are installing Office 2016 or above.
Some older versions of Office, such as Microsoft Office 2007, 2010 and 2013 were sold as downloads with product key activations. If you have one of these sets, the programs remain available for new downloads at www.products.office.com/en-us/previous-versions-of-office and can be activated using your original product key. After downloading the software, double-click on the file to start the installation guide and enter the key when prompted.

*All Office 2016+ and Microsoft 365 (formerly Office 365) licenses are associated with an email account. A personal licence is re-activated on a new machine by logging in to office.com and selecting which of their machines to associate.[32]
Others defend Microsoft's use of product activation. The Harrison Group, a market research firm, conducted a study sponsored by Microsoft in 2011 illustrating that computers running activated versions of Windows software were on average 50% faster than their pirated counterparts. The group concluded by stating that users of genuine Microsoft products ultimately receive superior performance while counterfeit users are susceptible to security issues and lost productivity.[37] Fully Licensed GmbH, a developer of digital rights management technology, while criticizing Microsoft for being vague about the nature of information sent from a given computer during activation, nevertheless concluded that activation is not particularly intrusive and does not significantly violate privacy.[38]
I held back on posting just incase something else went wrong but my ProPlus keys have been activating since 6-7 days ago. I'm still interested in an explanation considering the majority of my office keys have never been activated. I wonder how does a key that has never been activated trip the pirate alarm? 2ff7e9595c
